Gower Sun
Violinist
Gower Sun, is a soloist, orchestral and chamber musician, and recording artist based in British Columbia, Canada. Violinist Jeffrey Plotnick observed the “fine spirit that shines through” Gower’s performances and Conductor Garth Williams described his playing as “very musical and smooth.”
Aside from being the concertmaster in the Langley Honours Orchestra, Gower has performed and collaborated with groups such as the Borealis String Quartet, members of the VSO, Vancouver Opera Orchestra, and UBC Symphony Orchestra. As a recording artist, he frequently appears in film scores of independent productions as well as major motion pictures.
Alyssa Hordyk
Flautist
Alyssa Hordyk is a classically trained flautist and an inspiring music educator. She has won First Placement as a solo flautist at the Richmond Music Festival, and as a member of The Way Ensemble, she achieved top prize at the Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival and Kiwanis Music Festival. She is studying at Kwantlen Polytechnic University as a Performance Major under the instruction of Paolo Bortolussi. Alyssa also holds First Chair at both the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Wind Symphony and the Langley School District Honour Orchestra. She currently enjoys teaching flute, beginner piano, and preschool music at Inspire Arts Academy.
